I'm Jeff Dalton, and I sing back up, and play Mandolin
with the group. I was born at home in the Trimble
community in Western Pulaski County Kentucky. Being the
8th of 9 children wasn't an easy task. My fondest
memories were those evenings and weekends my family spent
"playing music" My mother, Stella played
guitar. Robert, my Dad played banjo. My oldest brother
Bobby also played Banjo. It was Bobby that bought me my
first mandolin, a Gibson when I was 12 years old. We
formed our own family band and played at local Churches
until the early 70's when I joined Clyde & Marie
Denny, then later became a part of the Rambling
Mountaineers with Carl Story. While with Carl, I enjoyed
touring many states as well as Canada, and was fortunate
to be a part of the Bicentennial playing for President
Ford at the Smithsonian Institute. After leaving Carl
Story, my brothers Randy, Bobby and myself joined The
Bluegrass Meditations. During the time with the
Meditations, I served the Lord singing at most of the
Bill Monroe festivals through out the United States. In
1982, two major changes took place in my life. I met,
fell in love and married my wife Debbie, and brother
Bobby moved to Illinois. In 1983, with part of the group
living so far away, the Meditations disbanded. During the
years to follow, I often filled in with other groups, and
several attempts were made to reunite The Daltons.
Finally in 1994 we were successful in finding the Lead
singer the Lord meant for us to have. Praise the Lord,
for now we may serve Him with our Ministry in song. I
thank the Lord for his patients with me. I have traveled
the wrong road many times but through His love, and the
blood He shed at Calvary, I am now a Child of God. He has
blessed me with the ability to write songs, play my
instruments and sing His praises. Glory to God for
        without Him, I am nothing.
 Walking With Jesus
